Aranyakam Nature Foundation is organising a poster design competition for school students in connection with the World Wildlife Day celebrations on March 3 rd 2022. The theme of the competition is “Conserve Our Nature”.

The competition aims to spread awareness about biodiversity, conservation of natural habitat, and reduction of the impact of climate change, among school students across Kerala.

The posters should be an artistic representation of your ideas on the importance of nature conservation and your solutions for the same

Eligibility

The contest, open to all school students from Kerala is under the following categories:

Primary: up to 7th standard

High School: 8th to 10th standard

Higher Secondary: 11th & 12th standard

All the entries received will go through a shortlisting process by a panel of judges appointed by Aranyakam Nature Foundation to ensure that they conform to the rules and guidelines of the contest.

Shortlisted participants will be notified by email and/or telephone before 25th February 2022.

About Competition

Each shortlisted poster will be displayed through an online meeting on 27th February 2022.

Five minutes will be alloted to each participant to answer questions from the panel of judges appointed by Aranyakam Nature Foundation.

The judges will include artists and professionals with experience in nature conservation.

Judgment will be based on:

  • Relevance to the theme
  • Originality
  • Artistic composition
  • Creativity
  • Adherence to the rules and guidelines of this competition.

Prize

The top three entries under each category will be awarded Exciting Prizes by Aranyakam Nature Foundation.

The winners’ names with their posters will be showcased on Aranyakam Nature Foundation’s website, official Facebook page, and other social media platforms on World Wildlife Day, 3rd March 2022.

Rules and Guidelines

  • Each participant can submit only one poster.
  • Posters can be in English or Malayalam.
  • The poster may be made on chart paper or created digitally.
  • It may include drawings, paintings, and digital artwork.
  • All content should be original and any photographs/artworks used should be taken/created by the participant.
  • Students are not permitted to use artwork/photographs downloaded from the internet.
  • Orientation may be landscape or portrait.
  • The theme “Conserve Our Nature” should be the main focus of the poster.
  • The name and age of the participant and the name of the school must be mentioned along with the application.
  • Valid identity proof of school must be attached to the entry.
  • The last day to upload an entry is on or before 20th February 2022.
  • Late submissions will not be accepted.
  • The Jury’s decisions are final and binding, and no correspondence or discussion will be entertained regarding the judging process.

Everyone has to submit the picture of the poster as JPEG/PDF in the form below along with other relevant details before 11.59 pm on 20th Feb 2022. Any submissions after the time specified above will not be accepted. You can register for the competition and submit the poster later.
