In conjunction with this year’s World Environment Day, Government Arts and Science college, Kozhinjampara, and Aranyakam Nature Foundation are launching an effort to green our campus and improve our children’s learning environment. The aim is to scientifically plant and maintain tree saplings that are adaptable to our environment and enhance biodiversity and inculcate a sense of conservation in students. The formal inauguration of the initiative, a joint effort of the parent-teachers association, students and the Aranyakam Nature Foundation, will be held on June 6 at 10 am in the college campus. The programme is supported by KSCSTE Kerala Forest Research Institute and Social Forestry Division, Palakkad.
